Mapdex ArcMap Toolbar 1.0

Hi All-
Asif has finished up the ArcMap toolbar for Mapdex. It makes use of the Mapdex REST Interface. The Mapdex toolbar for ArcMap brings the Mapdex search to ArcMap. Currently the Toolbar has only been developed and tested for ArcMap 9.1. With the toolbar you can search for GIS layers from ArcIMS map servers and add them to ArcMap.

The Mapdex toolbar requires the Microsoft .NET framework to be installed on your machine. If you do not have this installed the setup prompts you to install it. We also recommend that you install the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1. We have had some issues with machines not having the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1.
Try it out and let us know what you think.

Why is the download so large? I'm seeing 23.9 MB on my end.

Well, we put in the distributable .net framework. We should probably just make users go download it from Microsoft. Then again most probably already have it. The code for the toolbar is actually less than 2megs.

Hi Jeremy: Will MapDex be supporting countries other than te US (you have some european screen shots on the home page) -- if it does, now, how do I go about it ? Thanks.
